Nose

Very plain and very rum-like. Good pungent Jamaican high ester lift, wet cane, pineapple. Lightly oily phenols. Lots of acetone.

Palate

This is all rum and a pretty decent rum at that. Water shows light smoke but it is all to do with wet cane, molasses and punchiness.

Finish

Finally some smoke. Slightly medicinal.

Comment

This is a great drink but seems more like a whisky finished rum than the other way around, so have marked it accordingly.
