Brilliant balance between the fruit and cereal notes. Pot still at its best? Probably.

Nose: Gentle, then of toffee and cereal dominate. Juicy apple and pear come through with vanilla fudge and sweetened porridge. Peppermint tea and exotic fruits as well.
Palate: Soft and rich. Chewy porridge and a cereal edge. The oak shows with fresh oak giving tannins and vanilla custard. That suggestion of menthol, wintergreen paste too.
Finish: Long, indulgent and rich. Creamy oak and vanilla. Toffee.
Comment: Brilliant balance between the fruit and cereal notes. Pot still at its best? Probably.

Taster
Nose: Coconut. Toffee and banana combo – somebody will come up with a name for that... Light, but gently welcomes you in.
Palate: Ooh, a little fiery at first with some oak coming to the fore. Good balance between oak and sweetness. Really smooth. Just drifts into something chilled out and easy going. Doesn't hold onto all the fruit, but you get a hit.
Finish: Doesn't hang about but leaves you wanting more. Little early fire, just embers.
Comment: Nicely balanced. Approachable and nothing wrong with that.
