Nose
Big and punchy up front, again a really vibrant nose to start. Then calms down into almost an orchard note. This is balanced by oak tannins. Becomes grippy in time.
Palate
A veritable mix of rich fruits, creamy malt and spiciness. Rich mango and those apple notes kick things off with a great tang note from peppercorns. Then a gentle smoke note.
Finish
Really darkens up with hints of damp earth, bow rosin and candied fruit peel.
Comment
Lovely balance and the high ABV doesn’t interfere with play. A lovely drop.
