Nose

Fresh wood shavings and a bit of glue to start, before some rosemary, liquorice, prune, freshly brewed coffee, and vanilla bean. With water, a creamy butterscotch note emerges.

Palate

Without water, this high-strength bourbon kicks like any good bourbon should: lots of chewy texture, char, burnt sugar, dark cherries, and ginger. With water, more menthol, fruit, and clovey spice.

Finish

Lengthy, with lots of bite.

A good, classic bourbon with a bit more intensity than others. Drink around a campfire on a chilly evening.
