Nose

A sweet and welcoming nose draws me straight in. The alcohol hit is there but not as prominent as I’d expect at this strength. Apples, toffee, freshly sawn oak, some pine sap, and extinguished fire ashes all emerge slowly.

Palate

A great texture, really silky. There’s some nutty notes, hazelnuts in particular, then loads of roasted coffee, a bit of earthiness and toast. It’s like I’m by the campfire first thing in the morning.

Finish

Lots of dark chocolate and some spice, very well balanced.
