Nose: Pencil shavings and teak oil. Blue cheese and cream cracker. Subtle musty lavender. Vanilla-flavoured rice pudding. A hint of white grape and, with time, ripe peach (more skin than flesh).
Palate: Medium. Overripe strawberry, golden raisin, white chocolate, a little orange liqueur, and raw white mushroom. Rich caramel that almost reaches toffee, fresh espresso, and old bookshelves.
Finish: Long. Dusty floral notes, including chamomile, and manuka honey.
Comment: There are a lot of lovely things going on here. Eminently sippable.
Score: 8.4

Palate: Light. Well-integrated orchard and berry fruit, backed by vanilla and caramel. Underneath, a little milk cookie.
Finish: Medium, with the sweet cereal notes becoming predominant.
Comment: A light but moreish blend worthy of sipping.
Score: 7.9
