Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Fresh strawberry, singed sourdough, coffee cake with caramel icing, blackcurrant gummies, milk chocolate, a whiff of lime zest, and peppermint leaf. Sweet pipe tobacco, pomegranate, and subtle rose. Plum flesh. Delicate lemongrass and cumin.

Palate: Full. Thyme, white sesame, and sumac.Lemon and lime drizzle cake. Subtle smokiness. Intense, cordial-like fruits: red apple, elderberry, blood orange. Very subtle florals: violets and rose.

Finish: Long. Tobacco and sage notes build for a delicately herbal finish.

Comment: A beautifully balanced blend.

Score: 8.6

Taster

Nose: Dried apple skins and a hint of roasted sweet potato. Canvas, PVA glue, and salted caramel fudge. With time, vanilla, plum, and amaretti biscuit.

Palate: Medium bodied. A burst of fruit comes forward – mango, papaya, overripe peach – with toffee apple, whipped cream, and crumbled ginger cake. Sweetened espresso. Then the apple note returns, with well-done white toast.

Finish: Medium-long, on apple and a little more salted caramel.

Comment: The palate revealed some tasty complexity.
