Nose

Dark and brooding — not what you’d traditionally expect of a single grain. Lots of wood impact here: teak furniture, leather, dark-chocolate-covered strawberries.

Palate

Syrupy and bold with big notes of cherries and nutmeg, some cooked raisins, and brown sugar.

Finish

Almost sticks to the palate — like after eating a sticky toffee pudding! It stays around.

Comment

One for sherry lovers and though very tasty does hide some of the single grain aspect of things.
