ABV 46%
A very gentle whiskey right up to the end with those chilli elements, wonder if it more cask time would round it out more.

Nose: Full on sweetness at first, spun sugar, toffee apples and hints of Tonka bean. There’s little hints of spirit here too, gentle waves of alcohol and wool, grape stalks and tart plums.
Palate: Vanilla custard pastries, lemon curd spread on warm white toast and then that woody, dusty, grapevine edge creeps in. Autumn leaves and dark treacle.
Finish: Those dark sugar elements dry slowly with a gentle chilli prickle.
Comment: A very gentle whiskey right up to the end with those chilli elements, wonder if it more cask time would round it out more.
Score: 7.3
Taster
Nose: Sweet and malty: a handful of Lotus biscuits and caramel stroopwafel. Then the fresh green fruit, with gooseberries and the skin of Granny Smith apples. Floral aloe vera and dried lemon peel.
Palate: A creamy mouthfeel, and some of that green fruit carries through, though it’s surprisingly savoury and vegetal in character with some agave notes.
Finish: Astringent, alcohol-forward.
Comment: Very light in style, a little too sulphuric and gassy.
Score: 7.2
