Nose

Immediately speaks of a place — warm warehouses on a sunny day in Kentucky. Some lovely wood polish, cinnamon, chocolate-covered cherries, and vanilla bean pods.

Palate

Mouthcoating but surprisingly balanced for the ABV. Liquorice, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, baked cherry pie and vanilla bean ice cream.

Finish

Without water, leaves a good sting. With water, still leaves a good sting but a pleasant one at that.

Comment

A classic, bold, big bourbon — enjoyable, and will wake you up.
