Nose

Some spicy rye notes with sweetened stewed apples, cinnamon, fluffy American-style pancakes, and corn kernels. Bready notes, milk chocolate-coated raisin, and a very slight hint of oil paints.

Palate

Light. Soft red fruit. A little almond pastry. It’s reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, with Angostura bitters, vanilla syrup, orange peel, and maraschino cherry. The rye character is quite muted.

Finish

Medium. Cherry, chocolate, and sweet tea.

Comment

Possesses enough good rye character that it would be perfectly at home in a rye whiskey cocktail.
