Tasting Notes

Nose

Mandarin oranges with a note reminiscent of rotting vegetable matter. Citrus and turnip tops: it's like one of my mother's less successful soups.

Palate

Hot and peppery - this needs lots of water. A dusty/flour sack note and those neeps again.

Finish

Malty.

Comment

Those decaying vegetables give this a really weird edge. Was the cask too close to the kitchen?
