A two-sided malt, with two different expressions on the nose and on the palate. The alcohol needs to be tamed with water.

Taster

Nose: Floral. Grassy. Gillyflower. Freshly mown lawns. Honeycomb. Barley sugar. A touch of linseed.

Palate: Oily and fat. Very fruity and sherbety. A big mouthful of William's pear.

Finish: Slightly biting. Warm and lingering.

Comment: A two-sided malt, with two different expressions on the nose and on the palate. The alcohol needs to be tamed with water.

Score: 7.3

Taster

Nose: Intense, attractive quite 'green' nose. Water reveals a lovely fragrance: a posy of wild flowers but also some rooty notes and a hint of malt bins.

Palate: Great explosion of flavour unreduced. Dried flowers, crisp malt. Water calms it down making it creamy, soft and gentle. Lovely.

Finish: Floral, spicy, complex.

Comment: Great delivery, all coming together on the finish.
