Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Light and 'grainy'. Seems young and lacking real personality. Tisane, jasmine and banana. In time becomes floury and slightly yeasty.

Palate: Banana once again, sour apple. Young and quite hard and though the oak is adding a certain creaminess hasn't built up real succulence.

Finish: Herbal.

Comment: Good spirit, but an average whisky.

Score: 6.8

Taster

Nose: Steaming porridge,a hint of heather honey but also some beguiling savoury herbalness - after a while,\rcrème caramel.

Palate: Mouth feel is viscous and soft. Honeyed creaminess initially but then the herby spice comes through\rbefore it mellows again.

Finish: Maintains its presence well.

Comment: A beguiling dram that evolves in the glass.
