Nose

Steamed treacle sponge pudding and vanilla custard. Hard caramels. Dried apple slices that turn to sour apple-flavoured sweets. Milk chocolate-covered raisin and dried cranberry. Milky porridge.

Palate

Light-medium. Golden syrup. Oatcakes and salted butter. Hints of burnt raisin and a little more milk chocolate. Nutty notes underneath, with some candied peel and tinned red cherry. Ripe pear.

Finish

Medium-short. Apple returns with some honeyed oats.

Comment

A decently composed blended Scotch with good malt weight.
