Taster

Nose: Lemon and orange fruit tea, then cranberry and fruit peel. Water developed toffee, and fudge, with newly sawn sandalwood shavings.

Palate: Strawberries dipped in toffee, cherry essence and espresso coffee. Star anise and a hint of brown envelope gum.

Finish: Cooling and soothing.

Comment: I found this one growing on me. I’d like to see it at 43%.

Taster

Nose: Roasted coffee granules and toffee. Slightly botanical spirit and oily dried fruit notes come through along with a light smokiness. The dried fruit has an oily Guayana-esque feel.

Palate: Quite a citrusy palate with a lovely array of oily dried fruit –apricot, banana and grape. Quite botanical on the middle. Good intensity and depth though.

Finish: Good, spicy and oily finish with the dried fruit notes lingering.

Comment: A classy Canadian.
