Nose: Leather, writing ink, homemade paper, dusty bookshelves, the card index you used to find in a library, whisky truffles, vanilla tobacco.
Palate: Grilled pineapple and BBQ king prawns. Smoked butter with brown bread and a savoury edge. Sweetness with oranges and dark chocolate, apples in honey and Turkish delight.
Finish: Smoke rises at the end taking over the sweetness and drying everything out.
Comment: Taking a hipflask in to an antiquarian bookshop while eating a chocolate orange.

Taster
Nose: Ripe strawberries smothered in mint ice cream, honeysuckle and an entire packet of fig rolls. Sweet apple laces, hot banana bread, oat and raisin cookies and toasted marshmallows.
Palate: Banana smoothies with heather honey, gooseberries and green pesto on toasted rye bagels. There’s then a definite warmth from cooking porridge and treacle in ceramic pots.
Finish: Hot spices and ironed hessian bags create a distinctive end.
Comment: “These are a few of my favourite things….” This song is literally the perfect match, I think.
Score: 8.8
