Malty. Sweet vanilla syrup. Belgian waffle. Opens on stewed fruit. Apples, pears and medlars. Autumnal scents. Buttery too. Granny’s baking!

Palate

Sweet and flowing. Silky. The same autumn fruit poached in a spicy mix of cloves, cinnamon and ginger.

Finish

Spicy, drying. Medium long.

Comment

A well knitted fruity whisky. The perfect companion of a scrumptious Tarte Tatin. Water enhanced some bitter oak. Better neat.
