Disappointing. Seems to have the elements of a good whisky but nothing has knitted.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Malty, leathery with some soft fruit and a slightly feinty note. Water brings out smoky notes oak, vanilla.

Palate: Some smokiness here as well though a fairly dry mid-palate. Water thins it very disappointingly.

Finish: A little feinty.

Comment: Disappointing. Seems to have the elements of a good whisky but nothing has knitted.

Taster

Nose: Sherry. Peaches. Raisins. Lemon skins. Lemon pith.

Palate: Firm. Emphatic malty sweetness, then leafy dryness. Earthy. A hint of peat. Also some oak.

Finish: Crisp to the point of being sudden.

Comment: I found myself writing some of the same descriptors as I did 15 or 20 years ago. That says something for the consistency of this product.
