Boom, sherry bomb heaven. A little water lengthens the notes but really is an ode to the love of sherry.

Nose: Toasted marshmallow and milk chocolate. Golden syrup, waffles and vanilla ice cream, then more of a sherry edge starts to grip. Raisins and plums.
Palate: Dark and rich fruits compote, then the sherry comes through again. Black treacle, dark honey and cider poached apricots. Chilli honey. Smoked black tea with cinder toffee.
Finish: Mouth puckering tannins. Short with a huge hit of chocolate coated raisins.
Comment: Boom, sherry bomb heaven. A little water lengthens the notes but really is an ode to the love of sherry.

Taster
Nose: Bosh! Here they are. Rich caramel, golden syrup – it just promises so much richness.
Palate: Palate: Interestingly herbal initially. Coriander. This is punchy and rather than ending up like a curry it moves into vanilla and the remnants of a freshly pressed coffee. Ripe red berries. Develops into a savoury, herbal smoke.
Finish: Long, but balanced. Starts with herbal but finishes with a rich maraschino cherry sweetness.
Comment: Great variety. Well balanced and packs a punch.
Score: 8.1
