Lovely complexity and development through the experience of drinking it – as it is, it’s a lovely little sipper.

Taster

Nose: A hint of key lime pie, with thin crumbly pastry, then custard cream biscuits, hazelnut and a hint of allspice giving it a little kick.

Palate: The citrus notes become more like red berry compote, with the vanilla in the icing of banoffee pie. Some more allspice and hints of tobacco.

Finish: Lovely bright berries, with dry oakiness developing on a long finish.

Comment: Lovely complexity and development through the experience of drinking it – as it is, it’s a lovely little sipper.

Taster

Nose: Dark chocolate, black cherry, coffee bean, treacle and Jamaican ginger cake. Muscovado-covered baked banana. Subtle soy sauce.

Palate: Medium. Juicy red berries and cinnamon, with some clove and star anise. Caramel and under-ripe pear. Intense milk chocolate, then growing heat as tannins and dark fruits come to bear. Subtle spearmint leaf. With time, the toffee notes win out.

Finish: Medium. The heat builds, alongside camphorwood and resinous notes.

Comment: An enjoyable bourbon that bursts onto the palate and plants a flag.
