Taster

Nose: A tale of an out-of-control wash still and bars of soap. Some honey still filters through. Amazing!

Palate: The oak takes command and though the vanilla-honey-malt combination tries to hold sway the balance has been lost a little.

Finish: Waxed honey, slightly strained oak but ultimately very soapy.

Comment: The result of a stillman's very worst nightmare.

Score: 6

Taster

Nose: Peat, then flowery, with cinnamon and apples.

Palate: Firmly malty. Nutty. Grassy. Herbal.

Finish: Dry. Peaty and warming.

Comment: Very much the house style. Has not gained, or lost, much by such a long maturation.
