Nose: A big, corn fat, oily, youthful nose. Slightly spirity and a little on the tart side with brittle honey, caramel oak and smoke.
Palate: Soft and very toffeed. A little flabby and very corny. A little youthful spirit and oily spices can be discerned beneath the weight of oak - just!
Finish: Good length with lingering oily caramel. The oak bitters at the death.
Comment: Four Grains? All I get is corn.

Taster
Nose: Orange brandy and quince liqueur. Nutmeg and star anise, then Pears soap. Dilution brought out cola cubes, Dr Pepper and aniseed balls.
Palate: Rye toast with redcurrant jelly. Shiny red apple skin and orris root. With water, ribs marinated in tamarind and cherry cola. Candy cigarettes and a bark \rlike heat, then crispy bacon rind.
Finish: A tingling spice and massive finish.
Comment: Indulgent and slightly dangerous - delicious.
Score: 8.6
