Tasting Notes

Nose

Fragrant, summer barley with dried grass.Alcohol prickle but the late arrival of white fruits, honey, dunnage and vanilla oak add balance. Water makes it feel older.

Palate

Soft and full with a barley sheen and citrus notes. Rose oil, herbs, vanilla and spice. Water emphasises the oils and brings out an unfortunate old cardboard note.

Finish

Neat, it is a little short and mouth-watering. Diluted it’s more succulent with dusty cereal husks.

Comment

I think this has been bottled just in the nick of time.
