Nose
Candied strawberries and cream, then lemon and lime fruit pastilles, buttery chardonnay and freshly-mown hay. An overload of evolving mouth-watering fresh fruits: gooseberries, lemons, almost-ripe strawberries – the fresh nose betrays this whisky’s deep mahogany colour.
Palate
Fruit leather and indulgent raspberry jam with a tingling of wood spice – clove, anise, vanilla, cinnamon. Hints of citrus freshness lift the dense, ripe red fruits.
Finish
Fruity, and slightly dry.
Comment
Vibrant, citrusy and fruity while also dense, dry and spicy.
