This whisky seems to have matured in tired casks. Quite harsh. Water cuts the edges but does not give it style.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Very pale colour. Smoky. Creosote. Farmyard, wet straw. Iodine. Fish oil. A\rslight cheese note.

Palate: Sweet then followed by a dry spicy outburst. Fizzy. The cheese note is there. Reminds me of Roquefort cheese tanginess.

Finish: Dry, burning, numbing.

Comment: This whisky seems to have matured in tired casks. Quite harsh. Water cuts the edges but does not give it style.

Score: 7.3

Taster

Nose: Spirity at first then a drying tobacco leaf note. Sweet with an edge of green\rsappyness. A little gentle smoke lurks in the background.

Palate: Layers of flames wash over the tongue, earthy like warming hay bales.

Finish: Gentle and peated.

Comment: With a little water this is a good outdoor whisky.
