Nose

Eccles cakes (flaky all-butter pastry, raisins, and crunchy demerara sugar). Bramley apples cooked with cinnamon. Clove, almond milk, and a touch of gentian.

Palate

Red fruits – raspberry, blueberries and blackcurrants – with milk chocolate. Black pepper. Powdered sugar over fresh doughnuts. A little freshly planed oak.

Finish

Medium-short, fading on spiced apple and raisin streusel.

An autumnal treat with lovely spicy warmth.
