Taster

Nose: Almond flakes, verging on cantuccini biscuit, trifle notes, vanilla whipped cream, strawberry jelly and then dark chocolate Bounty bar. Tomato stalks.

Palate: Rich and oily mouthfeel. Red berry fruits in a compote, drizzled on top of vanilla pannacotta. It heats up, with marzipan, nutmeg and orange peel. Some sweet French toast using rye bread.

Finish: Spicy ginger notes, with a savoury biscuit tang that lingers before it dries out.

Comment: When you’re in the mood for bold and unabashed, this is one to go for.

Nose: Coffee bean and curry leaf. Prune juice, pomegranate molasses and cherry cough drop. Cola cube and dark chocolate. Cinnamon and nutmeg.

Palate: Medium bodied. Coffee liqueur, pain au chocolat, and burned sugar. Rice paper and black treacle. Tamarind toffees. Delicate peanut and raisin. Very subtle curry leaf.

Finish: Medium length. That coffee-chocolate note lingers.

Comment: Has potential, but the paper note borders on a fault for me and must subside before it can move into the 8s.
