Nose

A big burst of peat reek to start, like the fire has just been lit with it. There’s a note of langoustines and lemon peel, then vanilla pods and sultanas too.

Palate

Lots of yummy sweetness, BBQ smoke, black liquorice, and marshmallows. There’s a good spice from the alcohol but feels strangely balanced at the full strength. Even with water I prefer it neat.

Finish

Lengthy with the chilli spice tickling the front of the tongue.
