Nose

A delicate wave of smoke wafts out of the glass, followed by nougat, crayons, and citrus. The smoke feels balanced despite the strength and the ABV doesn’t kick as much as expected.

Palate

That smoke is so much bolder on first sip, coming crashing in as soon as it hits the palate. It’s got a lot of heat at full strength, but underlying that is a good swathe of vanilla, citrus peel, and toffee.

Finish

Long and smoky, with oodles of spice.

A warming, full whisky from Islay with some great sweetness and punch. Wakes you up.
