Taster

Nose: A classic nose of caramel, fruit and nut bar sweetness, a little buttercream icing sugar and an earthiness to it that’s surprising.

Palate: Things get a little more fruity, with frozen berries sprinked on top of cream-covered cereal and a faint dusting of coconut shavings.

Finish: Gets pretty spicy here with a nod to almonds appearing.

Comment: This is quite the little delight – it started out as exactly what I was expecting, but developed into so much more.

Taster

Nose: Hot, sawn oak and Virginia tobacco. Cinder toffee, cedarwood, chicory and Luxardo Maraschino liqueur (sour cherry, almond, slightly earthy). Subtle pine sap.

Palate: Light-medium bodied. Hot and concentrated flavours of blackcurrant cordial, black cherry and spearmint leaf, with a slight earthiness. Some minerality, as flintiness. Lingonberry and very faint dill.

Finish: Medium. The intense berry and cool mint leaf notes linger.

Comment: Quite boisterous, but solid flavours within.
