Nose

Immediately speaks of Kentucky: warm warehouses, sunshine, super classic. There’s rich oak, some orange peel, a bit of baking spices, some nail polish, and sweet vanilla.

Palate

Hot and spicy to start, with lots of caramel, black liquorice, candied cherries, clove, and cinnamon. With water, more wood spice comes out alongside black pepper, marmalade, and coffee.

Finish

Warming and sweet, with lots of clove spice.

Comment

A classic, big, bold, brash bourbon. Have after a long day, with your feet up (but it needs a splash of water).
