Nose: Gentle and clean, a little smoke like bacon being cooked next door with the window open. Pecan and toffee Danish pastries.
Palate: Sweet up front then a cinnamon and baked apple hit. Finishes with a cloudy lemonade note and some warmth.
Finish: Dries nicely.
Comment: Decent stuff, lacks a little oomph though.
Score: 7.5
Taster
Nose: Malty with a distinctive toffee character. Toffee apples, pears topped with evaporated milk fudge. Very pastry like. Crème brûlée. Sweet and round.
Palate: Sweet at first, followed by a spice burst. Ginger ale, fizzy lemonade. White pepper.
Finish: Dry and spicy.
Comment: The nose is sweeter than the palate but this is a well structured dram. Water kills it though.
Score: 7.7
