Ledaig

ABV 42%

Nothing to cheer up tastebuds. Water saves the nose but does not help palate. A pale image of Ledaig.

Taster

Nose: Fresh sawdust. Butyric. Slightly rancid. Varnish. Vanilla comes through with difficulty. Citrussy touch. Much nicer with water.

Palate: Sweet and round. Peppermint. Wood. A bit watery on mid-palate.

Finish: Short, very dry. Tangy.

Comment: Nothing to cheer up tastebuds. Water saves the nose but does not help palate. A pale image of Ledaig.

Score: 6.3

Taster

Nose: Seems very young. Tarry rope, sacking. Understated.

Palate: Gentle peatiness covering crisp malt. Decent structure. A sweet start. The peat is light and sits in the centre of the mouth.

Finish: Short.

Comment: The nose doesn't promise much but the palate delivers well.
