Tasting Notes

Nose

Quite a musty, earthy nose. A wonderful old dunnage warehouse springs to mind. Inhale deeply!

Palate

Lots of full-on chilli heat at first, then dried fruits, oak spice, cracked black pepper and some gentle smoke in the background.

Finish

The finish is long and quite spicy.

Comment

Something of a hot firecracker of a whisky. Interestingly, the addition of water ramps up the smokiness on both the nose and palate
