Nose: Stewed plums, packets of dates, fig vinegar and chocolate roasted malt, and a savoury side, sweated onions with sugar and ginger. Then it sweetens up. Eventually a fresh chopped wood note comes through.
Palate: Sweet, dark honey up front which then gets over taken by the spices, cinnamon, cardamom and black pepper. The is darks again with malt loaf and ginger preserve.
Finish: Just waves of all that spice and pepper keep going; very morish.
Comment: Lovely stuff, like eating spicy biltong while chopping wood.

Nose: Wow! Lots of cooked fruits, plums figs and caramel. Faint vinegar right at the end.
Palate: Toffee, salted caramel and other divine gifts. Then it all gets a little spicy. Oak and ginger jellies.
Finish: Sweetness just goes on and on. Honey and oak. Really lovely.
Comment: Reminds of that family favourite cure-all, warm honey and lemon. There we go, this one's arguably good for you!
