Taster

Nose: Deliciously floral. Narcissus, hyacinth. Followed by a rich fruity mix. Lemon sherbet. Greengage pie. Honey. Toffee. A real complexity.

Palate: Round, satisfying. Beautiful silk feel. Citrussy. Grapefruit. Lime. Apricots.

Finish: Lingering, on the tongue, nearly bubbly. Nutty.

Comment: A rewarding marriage of weight and elegancy.

Score: 8.8

Taster

Nose: Rich, sweet and generous. Coconut, cooked plum, spice (ginger), apple peel, hazelnut, passion fruit. Hard toffee deepening into liquorice.

Palate: Soft and syrupy, then a grip of oak. Chocolate truffle, spice, toffee apple. Oak clamps up quickly.

Finish: Spicy, nutmeg.

Comment: Great nose, but don't add water.
