Nose

Lots of nice, zingy fruit here to start — orange zest, lemons, and apricots. There’s a hint of something earthy underneath this — perhaps frankincense — then raspberries and cedar.

Palate

Full and wonderful texture — a little liquorice and honeycomb, then milk chocolate, black peppercorns, and a touch of sweet peat.

Finish

Warming and really sweet, with an almost concentrated sugar syrup note at the end.

Comment

A really enjoyable whisky that offers a lot of complexity and point of difference.
