Nose

Lovely, natural nose. Earthy-peat, iodine, camphor and bog myrtle aromas float above a fruit and barley base. Creamy oak. A touch of malt and creosote. Water emphasises the oak and herbal notes.

Palate

Lightly oiled, visceral and earthy with fruit, barley, peat, salt and intense alcohol. Water softens and brings out drying spice notes.

Finish

Long and spicy. Alcohol and mentholated notes make the nose and mouth water. Water dries the finish.

Comment

Neat, a real sinus clearing malt! Diluted, the oak grips a little too much.
