Taster

Nose: Thyme and a little plasticine, then ripe banana, plain kettle chips, and orange and cherry hard candies. With time come crushed peanuts and cocoa, cinder toffee and ephemeral citrus.

Palate: Light bodied. Sweet and biscuity at first, followed quickly by milk chocolate, caramel, and tarte tatin with brandy cream.

Finish: The biscuit note builds in intensity.

Comment: Solid flavours. Will appeal to those who like lighter-style Irish malts.

Taster

Nose: Cooked apple and a little lemon meringue pie. A hint of fondant icing. Porridge oats and honey, flapjack-like. Some delicate floral notes and a hint of underripe plum.

Palate: Light bodied. Sweet pear juice and buttery oat crumble with a hint of juicy red apple. Hints of ground ginger and mace. Sesame-seeded bread rolls. Floral honey and roasted peanut.

Finish: Medium. A little more savoury, with mace, gentle sesame seed, and fennel tops.

Comment: A tasty little whisky with lots of potential.
