Taster
Nose: A fruity nose, grape and smoke notes.
Palate: Firm body with oaky centre which starts vanilla-sweet but bitter-out.
Finish: Quite dry and even a little smoky. The fruit remains but time has dulled specific notes. Some malt does fight through.
Comment: A much subtler dram than it first appears that thoroughly rewards regular investigation. Tasty and teasing.
Score: 8
