There’s a lot here but it feels strangely compressed.

Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Fat. Nail polish, strawberry, marzipan, vanilla, sweet biscuit, pencil shavings as well as dry tea leaves and weirdly, pork crackling.

Palate: Sweet and quite plump, if a little jammy, but dries nicely to the finish. Quite bready/malty. Water bring out sweet vanilla.

Finish: Lightly grassy.

Comment: There’s a lot here but it feels strangely compressed.

Score: 7.8

Taster

Nose: Earthy. Wet moss, humus. Cider apples. Opening on citrus notes. Bitter orange, marmalade. Grapefruit peel. Hint of Madeira cake. Liquorice.

Palate: Crisp, dry. A drip of sweetness in an ocean of spices. Paprika, Tabasco. Liquorice root.

Finish: Intense, dry, warm.

Comment: A dash of water brings out sweeter notes and tames the fierce spiciness on the palate. A warmer up but not in the most subtle way.
