Taster

Nose: Defiantly smoky, with just a slightly sour lactic note in the background. Lightly tarry with an attractive masculine sweatiness.Gloss paint.

Palate: Oily giving it a smooth texture. Surprisingly understated and tense with peppery smoke, dry leaves, then a silvery lift buttercup. Seashore.

Finish: Long smoked. Slightly hard.

Comment: The best of this trio but lacks interactive maturation.

Score: 7.9

Taster

Nose: Herbal, grassy. Sweet dill, light vanilla syrup. Smoke slowly creeps in. Farmyard. Straw. Lemon balm.

Palate: Sweet and smoky. Develops on dry sooty notes. With the same herbal profile.

Finish: Dry, sooty, minty. A salty aftertaste.

Comment: A nice dram. Well wrapped in smoke and soot. Straight forward, easy to drink. A pleasantly shallow Laphroaig.
