Taster

Nose: Intense. Elegant oak. Dried fruit. Candied orange.Tangerine.Dark chocolate. Caramelised nuts. Hint of peat.

Palate: Smooth. Sweet. Strong note of crystallised violets. Oak is more Hot spices. Chilli, ginger.

Finish: Dry and spicy. Liquorice.

Comment: The nose let expect a more integrated oak on the palate. The violet is overwhelming.

Nose: Furniture polish, burnt sugar, oak tables and a great lump of peat.

Palate: A sweetness builds among the spices. An Asian curry note then a little peat.

Finish: Short and spicy.

Comment: The gentle Islay malt shows its Janus face.
