Taster

Nose: Initially Parmesan cheese, then mulched hay and farmyard sweetness. Aged tobacco, warm malted milk biscuits, lime marmalade and a little ginger.

Palate: Fruit and nut chocolate. Silky smooth over the tongue. Bags of soft fruit but tempered with a decent hit of oak spices and grip.

Finish: Dries with the oak spices gripping.

Comment: A well balanced dram, full of surprises and layers.

Score: 8.1

Taster

Nose: Intense, malty with an earthy note. Bracken, touch of humus. Digestive biscuits. On time, cooked fruit. Stewed apples with raisins.

Palate: Smooth and round. Satin-like. Oak and fruit are well integrated. Hazelnut toffee, cooked fruit again. A touch of ginger.

Finish: Concentrated, drying on spices and liquorice root.

Comment: A perfectly balanced dram. Mature, smooth and pleasant all the way.
