Tasting Notes

Nose

Waxy orange peel and beeswax furniture polish on wood. Butterscotch sauce and treacle tart. Potpourri and dried apricots.

Palate

Grippy oak giving a pithy, malty bite and a muscular texture - like eating uncooked Christmas cake. Marmalade on toast and a hint of struck match with time.

Finish

Powerful, round and juicy, water opens subtle spice.

Comment

This was a little edgy at first, but give it time and it softens up.
