I liked this slightly more for the lightness and subtlety.

Taster

Nose: A tropical fruit bowl with ripe guava and mango. Fruit tea bags. Rounded.

Palate: Delightfully perfumed with waxy candles and red pear. It becomes very juicy -slightly hedgerow with rosehip and bramble.

Finish: Luscious fruit with a lingering finish.

Comment: I liked this slightly more for the lightness and subtlety.

Taster

Nose: Malty, rich, complex. Barley sugar, quince jelly. Oak is present but melted with fruit. Some citrus notes. More orange than lemon. Water brings out a distinctive pear drop aroma.

Palate: Smooth and satin-soft. Citrussy. Orange curd. Oak is well integrated. Toffee. A hint of orange liquor (Grand Marnier?). Gently drying on ground ginger.

Finish: Long, dry with a pleasant oak note.

Comment: Appetising and rewarding. Rich malty core, fruit and oak well integrated. To enjoy with an apple crumble.
