ABV 66.8%
At this strength, one wonders what it's trying to prove.

Nose: This is going to sting a little. Massive spirit, but behind it, some Brazil nuttiness, brittle toffee and some crunchy nut cornflakes.
Palate: Crab apple jelly, some coconut, cocoa power and then puff it's gone. Quick as you like. After the palate clears, you get stewed plums and something a little milkier.
Finish: Short, with an oakiness and powdery red apple.
Comment: At this strength, one wonders what it's trying to prove.

Nose: Oh so young, acetone and unripe pears. Then huge maple syrup sweetness, Belgian waffles with butter. Cornbread, warm with strawberry jam.
Palate: Massive alcohol hit, almost overwhelms the palate. Oak aged vodka with fruit chews, mango and strawberries.\r
Finish: Alcohol and caramel, very short.
Comment: Clearly a young feisty thing, water tries its best to help but it's a failing battle. Will be interesting to see how time tames this one.
Score: 7.5
