Tasting Notes

Nose

Shows its age - very positive whisky rancio. The initial character suggests cherry-based cough medicine. Deep and complex, with beeswax polish, sandalwood and an exotic scented quality. Excellent.

Palate

Big and soft to start. There's the cherry note (here dried), some rhubarb, Cola cubes, and light tannins but its slightly too muted.

Finish

Drying tannins. Mixed peels

Comment

Lovely nose but not fully backed up on the tongue. In cask just too long.
