Tasting Notes

Taster

Nose: Green with lime, orange and flour sacks. As it opens there's cookie dough and a little catty edge. Some more weight with water.

Palate: Soft, thick and quite creamy before the buzzy alcohol takes charge. Water shows it to be simple clean and pleasant with decent structure.

Finish: Soft fruits return.

Comment: Decent enough but a little underwhelming.

Taster

Nose: Delicate. Flowery (not exactly floral !), fresh, jovial. Aniseed, chervil, freshly cut grass. Spring flowers.

Palate: Silky, caressing. Sweet aniseed notes at start then a fizzy feel on the tongue; The alcohol warms up tastebuds without burning though.

Finish: Warm, gently soothing with vanilla syrup notes.

Comment: A good example of a refill Bourbon cask. A low-key profile but well balanced. The alcohol is a bit biting but I still prefer it neat.
